Packaging

Our boxes and envelopes are never much larger than necessary for what we send.

We use as many pre-used boxes as possible, provided they are still neat and unprinted.

We have never bought any consignment padding made of plastic or foam. All plastic and foam filling is collected from packages we have received ourselves or from neighbours, family or friends.

We only pack our wooden coins in plastic if this is desired by the buyer. This way no unnecessary plastic is used.

Coins that we do not pack individually are packed in large bread bags that are closed to size, so that too much plastic is never used here.

The plastic bags we use for packaging the wrapped wooden coins are reusable as a pedal bin bag.

Energy

The electricity used is (almost) entirely generated by solar panels.

We drive electrically to the post or go by bicycle if possible.

Machines that are not being used are completely turned off.

We use electric heating to heat the workspace if necessary. As a result, we do not use (Groningen) gas.
